
Resumé
Shelby Hildebrand is a dancer, teacher, and choreographer from north of Indianapolis. She received her training from Central Indiana Academy of Dance and performed in the Principle division of their resident company, Central Indiana Dance Ensemble, under the direction of Suzann DeLay. Throughout her summers, she trained at companies such as Grand Rapids Ballet and Oklahoma City Ballet. Shelby attended Mercyhurst University on scholarship and earned her B.F.A. in Dance Performance, training under notable names like Tauna Hunter, Lesley Boris-Scalise, Jennifer McNamara and Matthew Christensen. She appeared with the Mercyhurst Dancers in Giselle, Michael Gleason’s Symphonie Italienne, and over fifteen contemporary works. She has appeared as a highlighted artist with SoMar Dance Works under the direction of Mark and Solveig Santillano. She enjoys teaching ballet and her choreography has been showcased at the American College Dance Association’s Northeast Conference and the Mary D’Angelo Performing Arts Center in Erie, PA. When she’s not dancing, she loves to paint, vlog, and cook.
